Job Duties:

Select proper materials for experimental assemblies.

Analyze test results to determine the root cause of failure.

Investigate the mechanical weakening mechanisms of materials under extreme thermal conditions. Conduct mechanical tests at high temperatures and extreme pressures.  

Perform stress tests on materials.

Perform computer simulation on fatigue crack propagation in materials.

Conduct thermal and rheological experiments with mechanical and thermodynamic treatments. Measure the sample’s surface features.

 

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics or Materials Science

                                 

Training Required: None

 

Experience Required: Two years work experience in the job offered or as a Research Assistant
